Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Amritsar

 

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Amritsar is located in cantonment area near Military Hospital. It was established in the year 1975 and now houses in a spacious building amidst lush green surroundings spread over an area of 7.689 acres. It has the capacity to accommodate 5 sections in each class from 1st to 10th and has got all the three streams i.e. Humanities, Science and Commerce at +2 level.

Three  fully air-conditioned computer centre with adequate number of computers and a trained computer instructor help in keeping pace with new trends in Information Technology. Computer Science have been introduced as an elective subject at the senior-secondary level from the session 1999-2000. Spacious and well ventilated classrooms, well equipped Science and Geography Laboratories and a Junior Science Laboratory help to develop a scientific attitude among the students.
